Description
Organized by students and community members, HOP trips provide more opportunities to hang out, have fun, and meet new people. These activities are not coordinated by LEAP. Participants are responsible for making their own decisions and plans. These activities are not organized or subsidized by the university. Everyone is responsible for their own transportation and activity costs.
We are currently testing an app to help connect students and empower them to create their own events outside of LEAP.
To participate, please download the PartyID App.
iPhone users can download it on the App store.

Canadian 5-pin bowling is a variation of traditional 10-pin bowling that’s unique to Canada. It uses smaller pins and a smaller ball, and the scoring system is a bit different. Here’s how it works:
- Pins: There are only 5 pins arranged in a V shape. These pins are smaller and lighter than those in 10-pin bowling.
- Ball: The ball is also smaller, weighing between 3.5 to 5.5 pounds. It doesn’t have holes like a 10-pin ball, so it’s gripped with the fingers on the outside.
- Scoring: The scoring system is different from 10-pin. Each pin has a value:
- The front pin (center pin) is worth 5 points.
- The two pins next to it are worth 3 points each.
- The two outer pins are worth 2 points each.
