Waiver Preview – Participants must sign a waiver for each activity

Acknowledgement of Risks

The activity organized by Interactive Adventures Ltd for the Thompson Rivers University LEAP Program involves risk of injury, minor or serious, including permanent disability. These injuries may result from my own actions, the actions of others, or a combination of both. All parties involved with the activity are included in this waiver regardless of whether they are an active participant or a spectator.

Risks include, but are not limited to:
Broken bones, bodily injuries, getting lost, theft, motor vehicle accidents, wildlife encounters, weather, conditions, and equipment failure. Additionally, there may be other consequences that could occur whether anticipated or unanticipated.

Participants are responsible for meeting at the designated times and places. If you become lost, it is your responsibility to notify the coordinators.
If you miss the bus, you will be responsible for organizing and paying for your own transportation.

Participant’s Responsibilities

Participant must follow safety instructions, wear appropriate safety gear, and disclose any medical conditions or limitations that may affect their participation.

Release of Liability

In consideration of Interactive Adventures Ltd granting me the privilege of participating in the activity named above, I waive all claims and release from liability Interactive Adventures Ltd, its officers, employees, agents, and representatives for any personal injury, death, property damage or loss sustained by me as a result of my participation in the activity named above arising out of any cause whatsoever including negligence from any party involved.

Governing Law

This Waiver will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia.

Full and Final Settlement

The Participant acknowledges and agrees with the Activity Provider that: (1) the Activity Provider has given the Participant sufficient time to carefully read this Waiver, (2) the Participant has been given the opportunity and has been encouraged to seek independent legal advice prior to signing this Waiver, (3) the Participant fully understands the risks and claims that the Participant is waiving to participate in the Activity, (4) the Participant is freely and voluntarily executing this Waiver, and (5) the Participant is forever prevented from suing or otherwise claiming against the Activity Provider for any property loss or personal injury that the Participant may sustain while participating in or preparing for the Activity.

I have carefully read and understood all parts of this waiver and acknowledge that I am giving up my right to sue.
